Climate Smart Kids: Grassroots Catalysts for Change
Children and youth are the most vulnerable to climate change, and ECF believes they should be part of the response. In 2018 ECF began engaging primary school pupils.
Pupils learn the two-way relationship between people and the environment. They perform dramas on the 3Rs (reduce, recycle, reuse), give presentations on tree planting and speak at World Earth Day events.
They were taught that the state of our climate also depends on their approach to earth.
Members like Divine and Anna, former pupils of Abishack Memorial Academy, made a joint statement at World Earth Day 2022 at AUN, urging people to invest in the earth by planting trees and keeping communities and rivers clean.
