Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth when they worked together for the same magazine. Ingrid later became an autofiction writer, while Martha became a war reporter. Life circumstances separated them. After years without contact, they meet again in an extreme crisis.
