Smallholder farmers hit by the insurgency received what they needed to farm the rain-fed season.
In 2017, 1,000 households in Madagali LGA received rain-fed inputs including seeds, fertilisers, knapsack sprayers and herbicides, with preference given to women- and child-headed homes affected by the insurgency.
Extension services were provided by FADAMA III, the Ministry of Agriculture and the ECF team. Similar support has reached smallholder farmers in Hong, Gombi and Mubi North/South LGAs, together with seeds, water pump machines, pesticides and fertilisers.
