The UN Women representative to Nigeria and ECOWAS Mrs Beatrice and her team hosted the founder Environmental Care Foundation and the Hon Commissioner for Women Affairs Adamawa state Mrs Deido at the UN building HQ Abuja.
The focus of our visit is to strengthen collaboration between the state and UN Women as well as scaling up Women Economic empowerment, Gender and social Inclusion.
The UN Women were indeed happy with his Excellency the Executive Governor of Adamawa state trajectory especially the effort he made towards women inclusion in leadership, improved women participation in politics, traditional leadership landscape etc.
Indeed Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is regarded by UN women as a Gender friendly Governor in Nigeria.
This collaboration would pave way for more impact-full programmes in the state.
